Why is DT Max not calculating the health contribution on line 448 of the TP-1 even though my client does not seem to fall under one of the situations where you are not required to pay the health contribution (as per instructions for line 448)?

In situations where an amount is present on line 148 of the TP-1 with a code other than code 7, the program erroneously considers that amount as "net federal supplements" for purposes of determining whether the health contribution should be paid.

Click here to see the instructions for line 148 and here to see the instructions for line 448. Contact our Support team if you need help in determining whether your client is required to pay the health contribution.

If your client should be paying the health contribution, use the Override keyword to override line 448 of the TP-1 with the correct amount.
